Welcome back to Create.Nola

It's been about nine months since I updated my blog -- since my son, Chris, started sixth grade. This has been a tough year. He continues to struggle with school, homework and making good choices; and how to best deal with ADHD.

In February, when I was at the end of my rope and my home was turning into a war zone, my oldest friend Ginger gave me some great advice. Ginger has two boys/men -- 27 and 18. Her advice is to let Chris deal with the natural consequences of his actions. He chooses not to do his homework correctly, not to study for tests or not to read the test question before he answers, then his grades will reflect this. As a result, I'm not sick to my stomach each night and looks like Chris is on the two-year plan for sixth grade.

With that said, I guess I have a little more free time (Ha Ha) to post to my blog.

I am taking advantage of the rainy Sunday afternoon and first posting some of the many Stampin' Up! promotions going on now. Next I'm posting some of the photos from Chris' birthday dinner on May 6. We had a great time at Drago's with my parents and my cousin Kim (Christopher's God Mother). Who could have a bad time at Drago's?
